Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Meadow Lake could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some handy hints that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
