Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will get your Mondana vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, official ID, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your legs and feet often.
