Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. Follow these handy travel tips that will help get your Moomba vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
