We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of Muana before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Don comfortable layers and remember to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good idea too.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. But the good news is there are ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Stay hydrated, get up and wander the aisles as often as you can and wear compression socks or tights.
