Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. Follow these handy tips and tricks that will help get your Mula vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by dressing in layers, and wear flat, easy-to-remove footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
