We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a ball in Nantes in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
