Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Oklad could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and daily medications. Next, take on board items that'll help pass the time, like some electronic gadgets or a few magazines. It's also wise to bring your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Last but not least, don't forget to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, lip balm and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Layer yourself up in natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case you get cold. Opt for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your main luggage.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights is also recommended.
