If you're not prepared, traveling can be a real challenge. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a pain-free start to your time in Đông Hà. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you've got all the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
