Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Orange East vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
