We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of Ore in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
