Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Parajuru vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, important documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
