We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and enjoying Petra in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
