Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Petrun escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to take a quick snooze, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for flat, closed-toe footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
