Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Pla Pak could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful hints that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
