No matter where you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Plush escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any daily medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
