Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Radiant could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some handy hints that will help you start your unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when picking what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are your best bet.
- A serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises while seated helps to prevent this from happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks can also help.
