If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a trouble-free start to your time in Ramea. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you carry the right stuff. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight is often as simple as your choice of clothes. Prepare for temperature changes by bringing layers. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin gets chilly. Shoes like high heels and sandals are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you later.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce the risk.
