Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Rast escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an awesome flight experience is to be prepared. First up, the essentials: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and important medications. Next, take on board items that'll help while away those hours, like your laptop or a good book. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Last but not least, be sure to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
