Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Rechitsa could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. Here are some handy tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and go for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
