Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Rimons vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice carefully too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce your risk.
