We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and seeing the best of Ringstedt before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are your best bet.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
