Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Robinson could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are good options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
