We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and seeing the best of Rotta in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some great options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
