Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Saidor could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful hints that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by wearing layers, and opt for flat, easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
