Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to San Pedro could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some handy tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
