Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Sayner vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some great options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
