Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Shu-Pos' could be completely painless or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some handy travel tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a great flight experience is to pack ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, travel docs, cash and medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help while away those hours, like some electronic devices or a juicy novel. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Last but not least, be sure to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
