Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Check out these handy hints that will get your Sigdal vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
