Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. Check out these handy hints that will help get your Sipura Island vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your bag for your phone and charger, any vital medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
