We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and having a blast in Spruce Head before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
