Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Squaw Lake vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object hiding in your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for closed-toe, flat footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
