Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will get your Stinjan escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, important documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Dress in loose, natural fibers and bring a cardigan in case it gets chilly in the cabin. Always go with flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your luggage.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
