Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Strovolos vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a great travel experience is to pack ahead. Start with the essentials: passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like your laptop or a thrilling novel. It's also a wise idea to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of headphones. And of course, don't forget to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
