If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints for a stress-free start to your time in Talitsa. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your main priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are your best bet.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
