If you're poorly prepared, traveling can be overwhelming. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a comfortable start to your vacation in Teckop. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up with loose, natural fibers and pack a pullover just in case you get cold. Always opt for roomy, flat shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy hiking boots in your checked luggage.
- A serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks or tights is also recommended.
