No matter where you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Thio vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing travel experience is to plan ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like your laptop or a thrilling book. It's also a wise idea to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Finally, don't forget to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
