We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and enjoying Topley in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
