Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Touba vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, important documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and wear easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
