Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Valtion vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
