If you're not prepared, traveling can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a worry-free start to your time in Volda. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a short nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
