Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Wagin vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing flight experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, credit cards and important medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic gadgets or a thrilling novel. It's also smart to bring your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, be sure to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
