Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Wang Yang escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight is often as simple as your clothing choices. Prepare yourself for varying temperatures by layering up. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin gets too cold. Shoes like high heels and sandals are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you later.
- Most travelers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are plenty of ways to mitigate your risk. Wear compression socks, stay hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a few laps of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
