Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Windsor could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some handy hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to take a sweater as it can get chilly inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help reduce this risk.
