Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Wonho-ri vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, official ID, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and flares. Sporting equipment like baseball bats, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your prime concern when choosing what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help lower your risk.
