Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Yahotyn escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are many ways to lessen your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks, drink lots of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
