Sep 10, 2019I saw photos and videos of the beach online before my trip..I am an avid horse lover..The videos show horses all around on the beach with the people..however..both times I went to the beach..there was not a horse in sight..People on the beach those days said when I asked about the horses replied "It's either hit or miss"..I was totally disappointed..the horses on the beach as advertised on their website was the reason I went there.. I drove through the "Park"..went around the "loop" also..only wildlife I saw was a couple of heron birds perched on trees..

Aug 29, 2018$20 to enter refuge but ticket good for all week. Beautiful beach and view. Take your own food if going to beach; cannot buy food there. Take a boat trip to see the ponies. Refuge has tour bus once daily but fills quickly.
