A beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago built in 2024. I have stayed at Riu Resorts outside the US and the Riu Plaza brought the same experience I received from the resorts. Amazing complimentary continental breakfast buffet, beautiful lobby, secured floor elevators, and clean workout room were terrific amenities. The room was spacious, with true blackout curtains, and a state of the art bathroom with separate toilet area. I would recommend a higher floor (we were on 26) to enjoy the nightly city view and lessen the busy city life noise. The 27th floor veranda was closed until April and we could have utilized a microwave in the room (the desk said they do not have any for use at this facility). Overall a great experience and would recommend to everyone.
