"Olivier met us in the rain to grab our bags, made a fire in the salon and chilled our wine. House was lovely and so welcoming. Room was beautiful, perfectly appointed. Wonderful dinner recommendation, and then a fabulous breakfast.

"We wanted something special for our last night of our 2 week road trip and we found it. A lovely place off the main road on a farm. Very comfortable beds and because of the shutters we were able to shut out the early morning sun. So we got a very good night's rest. In the morning we were greeted by our host with a wonderful basket of croissant, bread and pain au chocolat which we were able to eat on the terrace at the back. Thanks you for making this a perfect end to our holiday."

"We loved our time at the cottage. It was perfect for our group.
We all had a lot of room to spread out especially since it rained the entire time we were there. Hopefully one day we can come back again. The owners were wonderful. Highly recommend."

"Merci nous avons bien dormi dans la suite. Un accueil simple et efficace, des petits produits délicieux pour le petit déjeuner dont du fait maison. Le lieu est propre néanmoins il y a quelques tâches d'humidité au plafond. Je recommande quand même ce lieu qui se mari parfaitement avec le zoo de Beauval qui n'est pas loin du tout."

"Enthusiastic and helpful couple running a pleasant b&b. They had beer, they had pizza and sandwiches which was all that was on offer in a village in which both bars had closed down. Fine for an overnight stop though."

"The staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and hardworking, always going out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options available rather than a typical continental spread, including several coffee choices.
The room showed some signs of wear and tear, although the bathroom had been recently renovated and was spotless. The main drawbacks were the squeaky floors and limited soundproofing between rooms, although outside noise was generally well blocked.
Parking is located a short walk away (just a couple of minutes) and is free only between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay of one or two nights."
"The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the center of town, and the price was very reasonable. The family room worked especially well for our group of four friends, offering plenty of space and the convenience of two full bathrooms.
The main drawbacks are that the property feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. The carpet was worn and had an unpleasant odor, and our biggest issue was a strong musty smell throughout the property. Room 24 also had a noticeable sewage odor, as if the toilet’s wax ring needed replacement, which significantly impacted our stay. The entry to that room has a dangerous drop off, and we nearly fell many times. That said, the combination of location, value, and room layout still makes this property worth considering if those are your main priorities."
"We rented a room at the last minute for a low price. This is not a typical hotel. We learned that we had been expected to bring our own linen, and we would [will?] be charged a cleaning fee if the room is not clean enough. Massive space for cost.
This is an event cluster of apartments, and the management is not quite set up for smooth per diem rentals. All things considered, a pleasant stay and we navigated the lack of short term rental support."
"Clean and comfortable room, helpful staff and good breakfast and evening meal. Building itself is a bit 'tired' looking but we would stay there again"
"Enjoyed our brief stay at this charming hotel. The reception staff made a GREAT restaurant recommendation. The room was comfortable, well-designed, nicely decorated."
"I had chosen this hotel as it was close to the train station and was one of the few in Blois that had an elevator. When I arrived, I was informed the elevator was out of service (and apparently there was no plan to have it repaired.) I asked if the Hotel St. Jacques which was a few buildings away had an elevator, and the receptionist grudgingly called them. Well, they, too, have an elevator, but it was not working because the "group" was remodeling the hotel.
My room was small and at the extreme other end of the first floor (NOT ground floor.) But it was clean and quiet because the entire city is quiet at night. I didn't bother with breakfast as I've found pastry shops have better selections in the morning.
The location is very convenient. Easy walking to Chateau Blois and the Mansion of Magic. If renting a car, parking is available at the train station for a moderate fee."

6/10 Okay
"Could not beat the location, absolutely stunning. Our room was also top drawer.
However, dinner was mediocre, waiting staff were poorly trained. Breakfast was poor, again few staff, not attentive and food choices were very limited. I had to chase 3 times to order a simple omelette and it was not busy or peak season.
Overall beautiful setting which promised highly but service did not deliver and certainly not aligned to the price paid"
