I checked in on my birthday and the staff went all out, upgrading my room for free, had cake waiting in my room, gave me a complimentary breakfast, etc. I was overwhelmed by the attention they went into to make my birthday memorable. A bus stop is across the street from the hotel that even takes you to the airport, Valletta, Mdina etc. Has an Asian restaurant that is Michelin rated, also next to McDonalds and Wagamama restaurant. Can walk to great restaurants. Modern hotel. Nice and excellent staff. Offers great breakfast buffet."

"Overall a great stay at Palazzo Violetta. A ten minute walk to Sliema waterfront or Baletta Bay, so close to the tourist bars, restaurants and shops but also away from the hustle and bustle when you want a quiet night's sleep. Room was clean, spacious although a little dated - large solid wood desk and wardrobe. A really minor point overall. Breakfast was excellent and varied - although the coffee machine needs replaced as it regularly took 5 attempts to get it to part with an espresso! All the staff were excellent. Every single one courteous, polite and helpful. Would happily stay there again."
