"I stayed at the courtyard by Marriott in Guayaquil , Ecuador. The first night was a nightmare, we went to bed as normal then out of nowhere we gotten woken up at 11pm by security in a unprofessional way just because he thought there was no one in the room . He kept trying to come in the room like 5 times my daughter was scared and fell off the bed because of how scared we were. I went down stairs to let the front staff know about the issue and the manager was not there and told me that I had to wait until 9am for the supervisor. We explained the supervisor the issue and she understand and upgraded our room and gave us a complementary breakfast. We let the front staff know that we had to be at the airport at 3am and if they can have a shuttle ready for us and they said yes. When it was time for us to leave they told us the shuttle left at 2am but never told us anything about the shuttle leaving early . They got us a taxi that works for them. The taxi said he works for a private contractor for the hotel when we got dropped off the taxi guy that work for them charged us $5 but we were told it was for free. With so much misunderstanding and issues going on I rate this hotel a 2.5 out of 5 it could have been better and the small issues we had shouldn’t have happened at all."
